My vote for the best muni in New York City. Unconstrained, with ocean views, you feel a world away from Manhattan. The commute is the compromise. If you're planning on making a full day excursion — it's NYC golf, right? — the range and chipping area make it worth the hike. These days, you could stop by JFK and catch a Blade back to the city.

Deep Brooklyn — plan for a commute. Car is easiest, reachable by subway + bus. Book ahead on the city golf system. Twilight rounds are the sweet spot.
