February 2017. Troon North Monument. First time golfing in years. No handicap. This is where it started.
Troon North Monument Course, Scottsdale. First round in years. No handicap, no clue, no plan. Just grabbed some clubs and played desert golf. Got hooked.
Started tracking. Played sporadically. Range sessions at Chelsea Piers in NYC. Typical weekend golfer making typical weekend golfer mistakes, but starting to care about fixing them.
Data changed everything. Finally understood where strokes were actually being lost instead of where I thought they were.
First time seeing a handicap starting with a single digit. Dropped to 9.2 by end of 2023.
This is when things started getting better in bunches. 15+ lessons and counting. Finally committed to the fade instead of fighting it.
